Sharpening the Iron of the Church

The Whirlwind is Upon Us

“They sow to the wind and they reap the whirlwind.” Hosea 8:7

So, it appears that Iceland has discovered a answer for Downs Syndrome – abortion. If a prenatal test indicates a Downs Syndrome child they abort it and declare that they have eradicated the condition. Problem solved. Patricia Heath says, “They haven’t erradicated Downs Syndrome, they just kill those who have it.” Gosh, I hope they don’t discover a “conservative gene” or a “christian gene” or even an “ugly gene” – they may employ a similar cure.

Europe is leading the way in infanticide and euthanasia and the rest of the world, including the United States is stupidly and gleefully following her lead. In Holland recently, an elderly woman was held down by her family while a doctor administered a lethal injection in what is being called an “assisted” suicide. Can you imagine? Mom and Dad and the three kids all holding Grammy down so the doctor can kill her! This is a scene with diabolical implications.  If they have to hold me down it ain’t assisted and it ain’t suicideit’s murder. Of course, the Doctor was cleared of any wrong doing because the woman had dementia.

As a fascinating side note, a new study has found that Canada’s new euthanasia laws, which closely resemble those of the Netherlands, could save the state as much as £84 million from its annual health care budget.  They say that the cost of the lethal injections is only £15.  When I saw this little bit of math I thought, “Just how many Grammies and Pawpaw’s are they planning to put down”  By my calculations, 84 million divided by 15 is 5,600,000 (that’s FIVE MILLION SIX HUNDRED THOUSAND). Folks, that’s a lot of cookies that are never going to be baked; and now we’re getting down to the nitty-gritty aren’t we?  We can save 84 million pounds a year by killing of grandma and grandpa.  Just think of all the money we can save if we kill off all those defective babies who will gobble up resources.

I’d be willing to bet a poison cookie that financial considerations are a major component of Iceland’s Downs Syndrome “elimination.”  Not only will we “cure” Downs Syndrome and a bunch of other nasty conditions – we will save a bucket load of money! Kinda gives you a warm feeling about the benefits of socialized health care.“It reinforces anecdotal evidence coming out of Holland that doctors are rationing health care by using euthanasia,” said a co-chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Pro-Life Group.

Let me tell you what I think: I think we live in a culture of death in which the young and the strong get rid of anyone they think is in the way or gobbling up resources they need. It is a return to the worship of Baal that required the sacrifice of human life in order to gain power and prosperity.  This is the logical mindset to come from a generation that was systematically aborted by its parents because they were inconvenient and unwanted. They grew up in a culture of death and now death is the answer to everything. If its defective, if its old, if it can’t contribute, if its “crazy” – KILL IT.

The world says that its Karma or, what goes around comes around. Those children who survived the holocaust of abortion of their generation are now “aborting” their parents; and any “defective” human who might infringe on their own needs. My generation created this abhorrent mindset and now we will reap its ugly harvest. The scriptural version of karma is, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap.” (from the book of Galatians)

The scripture declares that we have sown to the wind and will reap the whirlwind. I am fully assured that we will now become the victims of the generation we victimized

It is not just all these good points – it is also family who want inheritance money on their schedule. People are not gong to necessarily convey to professionals their true motives. When things started happening here in Canada, countries who already where FURTHER DOWN THE LINE in decisions they had made said: “Don’t do it – it is like opening a Pandora’s Box” Human nature is too flawed to permit this sort of gross decision-making. Our hearts are not right and “Thou shalt not murder” still stands, as surely as we all will, before our maker, to give an account for the deeds of our personal lives. God, help us all.
