A Just Judgment
As you head to the ballot box this coming week, consider these thoughts. Please.
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20
Rev. Carlton Veazey speaks, “God of grace and God of glory, in whom we move and live,” he said, as he opened a prayer for the well-being of the doctor and nurses who facilitate abortions at a clinic here and for their patients. “Keep them safe and keep them strong. And may they always know that all that they do is for Thy glory.” Rev. Cari Jackson and other clergy sprinkle holy water in each room and in the parking lot of an abortion clinic to sanctify the clinic as a “holy place.” “a space of tremendous decision-making” “We give honor to all of these women who choose to come to this space,” said Jackson, an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ who has served in United Methodist and Presbyterian Church USA congregations. “We sanctify this space, and we honor this as holy.” (Life News.com reporting on actions of the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice)
Idolatry has taken root in America and the apostasy of the church flows now like an open sewer as men and women, declaring to speak for God, utter blasphemies as they sanctify as holy the scene of the most heinous of all crimes, the shedding of innocent blood. There they glorify as the work of God, the butchering of babies. The apostate church proudly displays its rainbow banners declaring that God is still Speaking. Their god is speaking, but he or she or it – is not the God who sits on the Throne of Heaven. It is a different God they represent. Whatever god they worship speaks in words contrary to the God of the Bible. They pave the way of slaughter for the most innocent and the way of destruction for men who believe their holy water justifies their perversion.
37 Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,
38 And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.
39 Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions.
40 Therefore was the wrath of the Lord kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.
41 And he gave them into the hand of the heathen; and they that hated them ruled over them.
42 Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand. Psalm 106:37-42
When President Trump nominated Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court the proponents of choice nearly lost their minds. They declared they would oppose his nomination “by any means possible” and they proved themselves faithful to their word. It was not about some alleged groping in high school – it was all about preserving the abortion industry. And yes, it is a powerful, lucrative industry through which many are getting very rich. Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton, and others declared that Kavanaugh’s appointment to the court was tantamount to a “war on women,” because he is pro-life and would not protect a woman’s sacred right to abort her child. Abortion is not sacred and its not a right – its not even constitutional.
False prophets, wearing the vestments of the church now roam the land sprinkling holy water and blessing as holy the work of abortion clinics, literally putting in the eyes of sinful men and women, God’s stamp of approval on their evil work.
I have already voted ahead of the national polling day. On November 6, millions will go to the polls and vote, knowingly or unwittingly, to preserve the right of a woman to kill her baby – to walk into a clinic and lie back on a table, spread her legs and allow an abortionist to rip her baby out of her womb limb by limb, organ by organ as an expression of her rights as a woman. Americans will vote on Trump, on immigration, on the economy, on health care, and a variety of other issues that are important to them. They will invite men and women – some good and some evil – to guide our nation into the future, depending upon how they view what that future ought to look like. For some, the choice is difficult. For others it is less difficult because their votes are driven by a left or right leaning ideology.
I will never cast a vote for a candidate that will not protect life. I am guilty of many sins in my life, but that will never be one of them. It’s that simple for me. If a candidate will not protect the most innocent, and most vulnerable of God’s creation – I have no interest in what their other policies might be. I don’t care about their views on immigration, the economy, foreign relations – none of it means anything to me if they won’t support life. I have friends, Christian brothers and sisters, who will support a variety of candidates because of their views on economics or immigration or other issues. The fact that some of those candidates also support the right of a woman to terminate her pregnancy in an abortion clinic seems to be an issue they have learned to live with as long as their particular ideology is pushed forward. I am not sure what sort of mental or spiritual gymnastics a person must go through to allow himself to make a mark on a ballot that will insure the continued murder of our children, but I am just as sure there is no justification that would release my hand to that mark.
Of course, I am concerned about many of the issues that are attached to the upcoming elections, but there is none that rises to the importance of the sanctity of human life. Our votes bear a far greater weight than even the death of a single child, left to bleed out or suffocate in a trash can in the back of a surgical unit. That child represents an entire lineage, whole genealogical histories are being cut off; the world robbed of their contribution. They will await with the martyrs, the vengeance of God beneath the altar as they cry out, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?” (Rev. 6:10)
My friend, you may be assured that God will judge America for the sin of abortion. He will most assuredly avenge the blood of the innocents. There are many reasons that God might justly judge America. There are none more just than the issue of abortion. Remember that when you mark your ballot on Tuesday, you will announce to Heaven where you stand on the issue of abortion. It is idolatry in the purest form. It is wicked, it is demonically driven, abortion is the personification of the hand of Satan yet reaching out from the pit of hell to strike down the seed of the woman, and you must decide – and then declare by your vote where you stand in this matter. There is a day quickly approaching when you and I, along with all other human beings who have ever lived will stand before a holy God and give an account for every idle word and deed.
My friend, you will give an account to God for how you mark your ballot on Tuesday. What explanation will you offer the Giver of Life for choosing your pocketbook, or some political ideology over the life of the unborn? How will you justify your turning a blind eye to the murder of generations of children in order to advance a political ideology?
There are things in my life I know I will be ashamed to have revealed. But this I know, I will not stand guilty of innocent blood, complicit in the sacrifice of millions of beautiful children, robbed of the opportunity of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness – and stolen from a world which has stupidly decided it doesn’t need them. Of that crime, I am innocent.
When Israel was dragged off in captivity to Babylon, the Lord revealed to Daniel that 70 years had been decreed for their exile – one year for each Sabbath the nation had failed to observe.
What judgment will God execute upon a nation in exchange for the murder of more than 60 million innocent babies?
